Allow me to bask in the afterglow of another great edition (#5 to be exact) of The Nicodemus League.  Thanks for showing up in what I think was our largest gathering.  We're going to have to place a bigger order at Panera!

We offered a postmortem or two on the Super Bowl, discussed stunt work in James Bond movies, and listened to a little Van Morrison. ("Glad Tidings" was the song that David Chase included in an episode of "The Sopranos".) Speaking of TV, Kevin Spacey (see picture above) plays a corrupt congressman in "House of  Cards" on Netflix.  I'll provide a little commentary on the show next Wednesday while introducing a  book by Mark Leibovich called "This Town:  Two Weddings and A Funeral."

In addition, we'll take a look at excavations currently being done in Capernaum on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee.  This fishing community was Jesus' home after He began His public ministry.  Later on, we'll sample some different kinds of protein:  whey, casein, probiotic.  You're not going to want to miss it!  See you next Wednesday for Edition VI of The Nicodemus League!

Your  Scribe,

PRDunklau
