Should We Even WATCH the News?

Meanwhile, Psalm 119 -- the "daleth" section and part of today's lectionary -- chimed in with a familiar fact among men (whether we admit it or not):  we grieve.  We're taught that alongside that grief is the enlivening, enriching wisdom of God!

On a personal note, thank you for your prayers for my dad, Rupert Dunklau, and our family (pictured below).  He is under hospice care and, at the moment, resting comfortably.

Congratulations to Mike and Shirley on their wedding!  May the Chief Physician continue to sustain Jim Welborn's mother.  And thank You, dear Lord, for the joy of grandchildren.  Brother Mike Vance knows all about that!

A "welcome aboard" to Charles Hubbard today!  And finally, I'm sitting here wondering who enjoy the Reuben sandwich from THE EGG & I.  (I should have ordered another!)
